love this site! I am program coordinator for our guild, Northern Piecemakers, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Can we get permission to use your block of the month? We want to do a year long color challenge with a team orientation and your blocks would be an awesome fit! Hoping that key color concepts can be taught to our members with fun!!!

I just found your sight. Thank you so much for the block of the month pattern. I am new at this. Could you tell me if you are using fat quarters for this and if so how many do I need. Thanks again.

Hi Alice,
I’m not using fat quarters – but you certainly could. For the blocks, you need the equivalent of about forty – 2 1/2″ strips (WOF) or 2 3/4 yd. So seven fat quarters would work just fine. Let me know how you’re coming along when you get a few blocks made.
